Delivery & Shipping

 

The purchase of alcohol by persons under the age of 21 is prohibited by law.  

You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase wine or spirits. Drink Responsibly. 

 

By placing an order through our website, you are representing yourself to us that you are at least 21 years of age. We reserve the right to ask for proof of identity before processing an order. An adult signature with proof of age verification is required at time of delivery. Please be aware that someone over the age of 21 must be available to sign for the package. If no one is available at the time of delivery, the package will not be left. Since we require age verification for all orders, we do not ship to Post Office Boxes. Nor do we ship to APOs and FPOs.

We currently offer local delivery on the Upper West Side to the following zip codes: 10025, 10024, 10023, 10069, 10115, 10019, 10036 and 10018.

  • Available MON-SAT: 11:00am-9:30pm & SUN: 12.30pm-7.30pm, (a 2-hour window of availability will be requested)
  • For same day deliveries, orders must be received by 7pm
  • Minimum purchase of $29.99 to $39.99 pre-tax automatically qualify for free local delivery on the Upper West Side, (otherwise $2 to $5 flat fee for delivery if minimum purchase is not met)
  • An adult 21 years or older, with a valid ID, must be available to accept the delivery. If an adult is not present to accept the delivery, it will be considered a missed delivery attempt and the items will be returned to the store and remain available for in-store pickup for 5 business days before being returned to the shelves. (A $10 restocking fee will be charged for a missed delivery attempt in Manhattan)
  • All delivery policies are subject to amendment during holidays & inclement weather.
     

 

In store pickup

You are welcome to pick up your order at our store located at 689 Columbus Ave, between 93rd & 94th streets, Upper West Side, Manhattan. 

  • Available 7 days a week, during store hours.
  • After receiving a confirmation email from us, your order will be ready within 1 hour. During the busy Holiday season this may take longer.
  • Final pickup is 30 minutes prior to daily store closing.
  • An adult 21-years or older, with a valid ID, must be present for pickup.
  • If you prefer Curbside Pickup, please call us at (212) 678-4908 upon arrival.

 

Shipping

We ship to the rest of Manhattan (outside the local delivery zone) and the other four boroughs via FedEx.  

 

We also ship to the following states via FedEx,

 

NY State and: AK, CA, CT, DC, FL, LA, NE, NH, NM, ND, OR, WV, WY 

 

Unfortunately, due to various state laws and regulations, we cannot ship to: 

AL, AZ, AR, CO, DE, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NJ, NC, NV, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WI

The customer is advised that all sales placed through our website are final, as are all in-store sales.

 

We do NOT ship to other shipping company addresses since we have experienced fraudulent orders being sent to, for example a FedEx or UPS store, and then being re-directed to an unknown address. We apologize for any inconvenience. 

 

Orders are not processed until the goods are packaged and ready to ship.

 

Once you place the order, an email will immediately acknowledge receipt of your order, while a second email will confirm your order has been processed and is prepared for shipment. We will contact you by the end of the next business day if there is any problem with your order. While we make every effort to show accurate product listings on our website, New Westlane Wines & Liquors is not responsible for typographical, pricing errors, and omissions. Thank you for your understanding.

 

Please note that your shipping costs are estimated. Actual costs will be confirmed with you when your order is placed.

 

Legal Information – Important:

New Westlane Wines & Liquors does not, as a condition of sale, assume any obligation nor bear any responsibility whatsoever for applying or obtaining any permits or licenses. Therefore, we recommend that you investigate the possibility of such limitations, and determine the manner in which alcoholic beverages shall be brought into your state from New York, so as to comply with all of your state’s requirements.

 

Title on all purchased items passes to the buyer at the time of purchase in the state of New York. If you require that your items be shipped, you authorize New Westlane Wines & Liquors to engage a common carrier to deliver your items on your behalf. IF YOU CHOOSE TO SHIP YOUR PURCHASE TO A NON-RECIPROCAL STATE, YOU ASSUME ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR COMPLYING WITH YOUR STATE’S LAWS REGARDING ALCOHOL SHIPMENTS.

 

Again, you must be 21 years of age to order to receive alcoholic beverages from New Westlane Wines & Liquors Any shipments containing alcoholic beverages are sent with an “Adult Signature Required” sticker, and the common carrier that delivers our merchandise is required to ask and check for identification upon delivery. This means that you will have to be present at the time of delivery.

New Westlane Wines & Liquors makes no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import wines and/or spirits into any state outside of New York. The Buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of wines and/or spirits and is responsible for any loss or damage to goods once they have left our premises. By placing an order, you authorize New Westlane Wines & Liquors to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your order to you.

 

Returns & Cancellation 

 

Opened bottles

 

At New Westlane Wines & Liquors, we understand that wine is a living thing, with variation and flaws that can occur even under the best production and storage methods. If you purchase a bottle that you believe to be flawed or corked, please feel free to bring it back to the shop within 1 week of purchase, accompanied by the original receipt, for an exchange of a bottle of equal value.

 

Unopened bottles & other things

 

Unopened Spirit bottles are eligible for return within 14 days of purchase, only when accompanied by the original receipt.

 

All sales are final on wines, sparkling wines, champagnes and sakés. We believe that proper storage is crucial to the quality of wines, sparkling wines, champagnes and sakés, and since we cannot control how items are stored after purchase. We do not issue refunds, credits or exchanges for these items.

 

However, defective wines, sparkling wines, champagnes and sakés may be exchanged for items of equal value. 

 

Items to be returned are subject to evaluation by our staff, and must be accompanied by your original sales receipt.

 

All gift certificates, accessories, glasses, corkscrews and stemware are Final Sale: No refund or return.

 

You may cancel your order if it's not shipped yet.

 

All valid returns are subjected to 20% restocking fee of the original cost.
